Winter/Spring 2024 Outreach and Community Support

In the early spring of 2024 members of the organization reached out to a troubled youth in Fair Haven who was not only caught up in the criminal justice system but had also been absent from school for a while.

On top of that, the youth was also caught up in the snares of a current violent situation that had the potential to become deadly. The youth was in a not-so-great foster care home as well and members went to meet with the young man and his foster care single parent as well as his foster siblings.

Conflict resolution was the center topic of discussion as well as alternative to violence measures that could and should always be implemented. The student was reintegrated in school and also avoided any further violence in the community.
